Self Portrait
To help further our understanding of perspective, we were asked to take a picture of ourselves in a mirror with certain lighting and recreate that in charcoal.
As I've said on other drawing projects, I actually didn't think I would be able to draw myself as I was not secure in my drawing skills. I honestly really dreaded this project as I'm not even a fan of photos of myself, let alone drawing myself badly.
While I feel that some aspects of my portrait are pretty okay, there are other aspects that I can see I will need to practice to improve my skills. Overall, I think she generally looks like me but maybe an alternate reality's version of me. Considering, I'm actually really proud about how it came out considering I've never really done any facial drawings. I really wanted this to come out as close to my likeness as possible and I feel like I succeeded in that.
