Negative Space Perspective
In Drawing I, our teacher stacked a bunch of children's chairs in the middle of the room and told us we were only supposed to focus on the negative space from our vantage point.
This was charcoal (black & white) on newspaper print. Honestly, I couldn't find a vantage point that was really visually interesting in a negative space capacity, so I ended up illustrating what I saw from my original seated position in the class. I originally was told I made my focus too small, so I redid it so the chairs took up the majority of the space, which I was told made it more interesting, but I wish I had found a better view to make it more interesting.
