ARTini Vector Poster

This project was to make a poster with vector shapes for an upcoming local event that we wanted to promote.

We were able to choose any event as long as it was local. I decided to promote the "ARTini" night at a local art museum. This was an evening showcasing drinks made by some local "mixologists." This was the first venture into vectors that we had in our Photoshop class.

I decided to make a background of what would look like an art museum as well as having a table of spirits-related objects and putting the event name in a night sky to help illustrate what time of day this event took place. To help create this image, I used a few reverence pictures to draw over. I could really see the image without almost every aspect of it recreated, so I was very intense with matching every shape to how it looked in my reference photo.

I arranged the bottles and glass a couple of ways and decided that the final image was the most visually interesting with the lighting I had. The man in the background was a photo of my dad from my brother's wedding that I used. The art on the wall, I just made up. The moon was actually a reference photo I took as well. In all, this project took me about, 12 or so hours to create and I was actually very happy with the outcome.

This class was my first, so I hadn't yet taken the Typography class, so that could be updated if I were to actually use it, but generally, I rather like how it came out.
